Classic elegance in Frederiksberg
On the corner of Smallegade and Virginiavej you’ll find Restaurant Frederiks Have. Over the years, the address has housed everything from a carriage business to a porcelain factory and even a tavern, before becoming Frederiks Have as we know it today in 1992.
Owner Jonas Nikolajsen once worked here as a waiter and seized the opportunity when the restaurant came up for sale. With an in-depth knowledge of both the craft and the house’s history, he takes pride in preserving the soul and warmth of the place. He also brings solid experience from his time as restaurant manager at Marv & Ben.
Homely calm and beautifully prepared food
The kitchen works with Danish ingredients and classic - often French - techniques, but without strict rules. The menu changes with the seasons, while the style remains familiar: simple, well-executed, and full of flavor.
In the restaurant’s main dining room, there’s a gentle buzz from the bar and the open kitchen, and in summer the doors open onto the cozy terrace. The restaurant invites you to relax and enjoy the moment, with no time limits at the tables.
