Owner Nicklas Sejer Rask brings 10 years of experience from the hospitality industry in Denmark and abroad. His ambition is to create a peaceful, intimate space where guests actually have time to slow down and look each other in the eye. “It should be a place to unwind,” he says, encouraging guests to share the dishes family-style. 

The name Hans Christian’s was originally chosen as a nod to the classic Danish TV series Matador, perfectly matching the nostalgic decor that reinforces the cozy, homey vibe. 

Berlingske’s food critic paid a visit for “A fantastic lunch and incredibly affordable cocktails,” awarding the restaurant a glowing 5 out of 6 stars.
