Chef and owner, Christian From, has over time acquired professional insight and developed excellent craftsmanship. His previous cooking lessons include at the Michelin-starred restaurant Geranium, Nimbs Terrasse in Tivoli, d’Angleterres Marchal and at restaurant Studio at The Standard.

Christian's experiences reveal The Modern's menu with Nordic elegance, the Mediterranean's refined taste nuances and an innovative way of thinking to merge between different cuisines and styles.


Bistromad and Gillardeau's oysters for 4 stars

"The seafood alone is in itself worth a trip to Frederiksstaden!" and further reported “I was not disappointed. The lobster pieces were juicy, the linguini pasta al dente and the sauce with a clear taste of chili, tomatoes, basil and parmesan ”.
