Get a maritime dining experience that combines the taste of quality Danish dishes and a view of the water. On the edge of Aarhus' vibrant harbor life lies a true family dream anchored: Restaurant Bådcafe.

In 2015, the Steen-Hald family opened the doors to their first café at Albatros, but realized that their dreams and ambitions required more space. The adventure led them to the old Endelave ferry from 1950, Sorte Louis.

Since June 2015, the gangway bridge has provided access to Bådcafe and invited guests inside for unforgettable meals with one of Aarhus' best views. In the winter, Bådcafe is located in the water in front of the harbor hotel and moves out to the outer pier in the summer.

Classic Danish on the menu

Dine on the water and sink your teeth into freshly caught specialties and classic Danish dishes. Let your gaze wander over the water and the many sailboats while you enjoy the catch of the day, a 3-course meal or a Wiener schnitzel.

The menu is based on local, seasonal ingredients and is given a bit of personality by the head chef.

Authentic ship experiences

The modernized ferry floats with warmth, soul and both captain and crew are ready to serve you and provide unforgettable ship experiences.

On the upper deck and in the ship's wheelhouse you will find the Boat Cafe's cocktail bar. Downstairs, the magic happens in relation to the gastronomic experiences.

The maritime style is carried out with lots of ship's wood and the staff's sailor clothing.
